Carolyn Horadan headshot for bio

Carolyn is a seasoned investment advisor and financial fiduciary with 25 years of experience in every facet of the industry. She founded South Cove Financial, a private investment and wealth advisory, in 2016 with two main goals:

  1. help clients grow their assets, protect their wealth, make better financial plans and decisions using mathematical analysis, and navigate their best lives

  2. bring institutional quality resources, research and money management acumen historically available only to large corporations and ultra high net worth individuals to every client

Prior to founding South Cove, Carolyn managed more than $5 billion in public and private investments for ultra high and high net worth individuals, foundations, corporations and trusts. She was a Portfolio Manger and served as the Head of Investments at Highland Private Wealth Management. At Pacific Portfolio, she worked as a Portfolio Manager and securities researcher.

Carolyn has a strong institutional background. As a Senior Associate with Mercer Advisors, she served as the primary Consultant/Co-Lead Consultant for four top Fortune 100 companies, advising on assets in excess of $40 billion. Mercer hired her to pioneer the firm’s first discretionary and highest revenue generating client.

Carolyn spent several years at Rigel Capital, where she was promoted to co-portfolio manager for the firm’s $2 billion Large-Cap Growth Fund under Founder and CIO George Kauffman after serving as a fundamental analyst for US equities.

Carolyn first established herself in the financial services industry as a US equity trader, then expanded her capabilities as a US bond trader.

She earned an MBA in Finance from the Paul Merage School of Business at the University of California – Irvine. She has published financial papers, spoken at conferences and hosted private educational seminars on investing, to name just a few of her professional accomplishments.
